The community of Superkids teachers is special—generous, helpful, creative, and kind! This month we want to acknowledge five Superkids teachers who have consistently shared fun activities, organizational tips, classroom projects, Superkids themed décor, and more! As a special thank-you, these teachers will receive a complimentary ticket to this year’s Superkids Schools Conference.
If you are interested in sharing what is happening in your classroom, ideas can be submitted by using the submit by email button at the bottom of each newsletter. Ideas and activities can also be submitted by sending a message to the Superkids Facebook page.

Hayley Lugassy
The first teacher we would like to recognize is Hayley Lugassy. Hayley has been sharing her creative Superkids activities, events, and décor since 2014! She has found ways to incorporate Superkids into the classroom design, amazing learning activities, and into an end-of-the-year graduation event.
Thank you for sharing your creative ideas, Hayley!

Janel Sasser
Janel Sasser gets our next shout-out. Janel has shared fun classroom videos and activities since 2019.
Janel shared a super activity that connects Superkids to STEAM activities. She challenged her students use classroom supplies to invent and build items for the characters. They made new ovens for Cass, paintbrush holders to keep Oswald organized, dog houses for Golly’s friends, bridges for Alf to safely cross, and tool hangers for Doc’s shop!
Keep those creative ideas coming, Janel!

Erin McColley Haynes
Erin McColley Haynes has been sharing Superkids ideas since 2019. Golly’s smelling station was a big hit on our Facebook page. Her students have also made tool belts like Doc; created planets after reading about the Wet Planet; and visited the high school to see the trumpets, trombones, and tubas in action to honor Tic, Tac, and Toc.
We are thankful for you and your kindergarten crew, Erin!

Sara McMahon
Sara McMahon has been sharing super ideas since 2020. She has had her students problem-solve to build a boat for Frits, embark on an Alf-inspired adventure, participate in a skating party to celebrate Sal, and create “clickety, click” Icky TV sets which the children use to put on their own TV shows.
Keep sharing your character celebrations, Sara!

Christa Kelly
Christa Kelly began sending her splendid ideas through her Superkids coach. She was also a presenter at the 2023 Superkids Schools Conference and provided a wonderful peek into her classroom! She has shared organizational tips, classroom management strategies, and dozens of activities for independent work time.
Your students are lucky to have you, Christa!

The annual Superkids Schools Conference will be held June 25, 2024! We hope you will join us for this virtual, live learning event for K–2 teachers and leaders. This one-day conference provides an opportunity for Superkids educators to share effective teaching practices and learn together.
The conference also provides an opportunity to celebrate! This year we invite you to submit a photo or video* to be featured during the conference. Send a picture or short video clip of you and your students, your Superkids teaching team, a special Superkids related activity—something you would like to celebrate! Be sure to include your name, school, and state with your photo. We look forward to featuring YOU at this year’s conference.
