How the Superkids Reading Curriculum Helps Students Succeed
Superkids incorporates evidence-based reading practices and fun-filled experiences into a comprehensive English language arts curriculum designed to instill confidence and nurture curiosity in K–2 readers. The program works by focusing on student motivation, educator support, and an effective instructional path.
Superkids sparks motivation as students meet and grow with the Superkids, a cast of endearing characters whose adventures engage and inspire them to learn.
Students naturally develop special connections to one or more of the Superkids characters as they see parts of themselves reflected in their stories. Whether they relate to Sal’s love of sports, Ettabetta’s quizzical curiosity, or Nina’s interest in nature, these lasting bonds create engagement with the program that leads to greater success.

Learn More About the Guiding Principles
Superkids maximizes outcomes with a systematic, explicit program that solidifies foundational skills, builds knowledge, and nurtures confidence and curiosity.
The program is designed to unlock students’ potential and help them become successful readers and writers through an instructional path that prepares them to transition from learning to read to reading to learn in grade 3 and beyond while letting their imaginations soar. Lessons are divided into three strands: Word Work, Reading, and Writing. This consistent structure helps students progress in their skills, with each strand informing the others.
